During her time at Western, Elaine sat as the Co-Chair of the Faculty of Health Sciences Indigenous Committee to advocate for additional supports specific to Indigenous Students. Throughout her legal studies, she continued to develop a strong understanding of the legal and social challenges facing Indigenous children through her volunteer work with the Nipissing Community Legal Clinic and her involvement with the Indigenous Law Students Alliance at Queen’s.
In her spare time, Elaine enjoys exploring the great outdoors, spending time with her kitty, and a fresh cup of cedar tea.
